Ask your doctor: It is probably best for you to ask your doctor. You are entitled to such information. Here is a possibility. The slow emptying you're refering to probably is the reduced gallbladder ejection fraction which may indicate a gallbladder dysfunction. Your doctor may want to know the liver function test to assess for potential problem and guide him/her to the appropriate management of your condition.

Other factors: If hida study demonstrated slow extraction by the liver of the isotope from the blood stream good mean reduced liver function. Blood tests can show liver not working normally. Blood amylase and lipase can show if inflammation of pancreas is contributing factor. The common bile duct and pancreatic duct enter duodenum in close proximity. Sometimes gall bladder and pancreatic disorder occur together.

Liver functions: Your physician will need to make sure your liver and pancreas are working properly, specially if you are symptomatic.
