For how long?: Anything over 3-6 months is considered chronic pain, and this type of pain doesn't follow the same rules as acute pain. The body doesn't know how to turn the pain off, even when tissue/nerves have already healed. If the pain is chronic, biofeedback is a good treatment to dial down your nervous system. Also, pilates is great for strengthening your spine. Epidural steroid injection helps leg pain.
