Get checked: A visit to the doctor is appropriate in your situation. It is common to have symptoms around the nipples and breasts that relate to the cycles of your period. In addition, the symptoms that you describe can be associated with yeast infections of the nipples though they may not show any other signs besides the symptoms you're having. If you are breast-feeding your symptoms are also more common.

See doctor: May be related to your hormones. Was your pain related to any part of your cycle? Was your diet change that would related to estrogen? It is best to see doctor for proper evaluation.
