See below: Any bleeding from the uterus in the first trimester means you could have a miscarriage, but your light bleeding is more reassuring than heavy bleeding. The spotting could have also come from the cervix, especially if you recently had sex or a pelvic exam.

Possibly: Any bleeding in the first 12 weeks should be evaluated for possible miscarriage, cervical irritation or bleeding. This could also be bleeding from implantation. See your doctor.
