No change necessary: There is nothing wrong with the formula he is on now. The stool is green because of the iron in formula and in a day or two the formula will become less funny as he gets used to the formula.

Normal poop: While it is certainly fine to try soy formula, what you are describing is perfectly normal poop for a 6 week old. Their stools are very runny and seedy, and colors range from yellow to green to brown to orange. The colors we don't like are white, red and black. These sound like very healthy, normal poops, so i don't think a formula change is even needed.
