Usually benign: If causing symptoms should see your doc for an evaluation. They usually are not a problem but for an occasional patient there is a real problem. Can't tell without seeing the patient.

Usually not: If you feel a skipping of the heart beat that goes away after only a few seconds, that is usually not dangersous. Warning signs would be if the skipping persisted for many minutes, or you felt dizzy, lightheaded, short of breath of chest pains. These could be these signs of a more serious type of irregular heart beat.
