See your doctor: What you describe sounds like a throat infection, possibly strep or a virus. It's likely to last only a few days. Go to your doctor to have it checked out. They can tell you what they think it is and whether you need medicine or not. Over the counter throat numbing medicines (like cepacol spray or lozenges) and drinking cold liquids (not acid or carbonated) frequently, can make it less painful.
