Multipossibilities : This can be pain from the hip joint, sacroiliac joint, muscular like the pyriformis, a bursitis, referred pain from a back condition like a degenerative facet joint or disc level. Most likely a back issue with other testing negative. If no improvement with otc meds if not contraindicated, see a spine specialist for a thorough evaluation and treatment recommendations.
