A member asked:

What is the complication of bladder irrigation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually none: Bladder irrigation, when done by a trained professional, is generally safe. However, it is possible to have irritation of the urethra form the catheter, urinary tract infection from the process, irritation of the bladder from stretching, or even rupture of the bladder if it is overfilled.
