Need an exam: A bright flash of light, sometimes associated with floaters in one eye can be caused by the jelly portion of the eye (vitreous) collapsing or detaching. This is a common problem. Sometimes, this can lead to a retinal hole or tear which is serious. You should seen an ophthalmologist (md) to be examined and determine what the problem is.

See an Eye MD: Might be just the vitreous gel shifting around with eye movement, but also might be symptom of partial retinal detachment. See an eye md now.
