Steroids: Systemic steroids commonly cause flushing, facial puffiness, sometimes feet swelling and feeling warm. These all should subside within days unless someone is on chronic steroid therapy.

Steroid injection: This could have been a reaction to the medication or the injection itself. This can happen occasionally. It is usually not dangerous and can be treated by the physician who did the injection. Hopefully you are better now.

Common!: Steroids causes fluid retention and vasodilation of blood vessels. This occurs in 50% of patients. It is not an allergy. The larger dose in an epidural of prednisone, dexamethasone, etc., would more liekly causes this. Steroids treat allergies! it will disappear within two days!

Not unusual: A flushed face is not that uncommon. Steroids can cause swelling in the face (have you had many injections?). I would contact the office of the doctor that did the injection.

Normal side effect: This will pass after a few weeks at the most. I would discuss with your doctor to either reduce the dose if you need this next time or consider non-steroidal options.
