See doc: There are several things that can cause this. Cervical radiculopathy , or a pinched nerve in the neck, or rotator cuff sprain or impingement can do this. Both injuries are very amenable to physical therapy and anti-inflammatory ned's. Seeing your doctor can help diagnose this, refer to pt if needed, choose correct pain meds or teach you exercises.
