35 yr. old man has acid reflux but when on the atkins diet has absolutely no acid reflux why is this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dietary changes: Changes in your diet can lead to decreased acid reflux symptoms. Generally avoiding spicy foods, citrus foods, caffeine, fatty foods and eating smaller portions can all help decrease acid production and acid reflux. Changes in your diet, such as those with the atkins diet can help decrease acid reflux.
