Blue stool?: That's a new one for me. Just to be on the safe side, have him see his family doctor & check for blood in the stool. If he's bleeding from high up, say stomach or duodenum, blood can get digested along the way and make stool darker than usual, even black. So best to get checked out to be on safe side, unless one of my colleagues has a better answer . .
