Veins?: Sometimes this can be a prominent vein in your thin lower lid skin or it can come from mild fat herniation thru the orbital septum of the lower lid. This commonly occurs with age but not always. This prominent fat can give " shadows" under certain lighting conditions. Best to have an ophthalmologist check this and he/she may ask for a second opinion from an oculoplastic surgeon.
