A member asked:

How likely is it that aldara (imiquimod) simply stops working? achieved about 90% clearance of plantar wart, but no improvement in last week.

HPV: Aldara (imiquimod) cream should be applied 3 times per week to external warts. Aldara (imiquimod) cream treatment should continue until there is total clearance of the warts or for a maximum of 16 weeks. If this proves ineffective see a podiatrist or dermatologist for local management by other means.

Warts...: Plantar warts are very frustrating to treat. Methods that worked in the past may not work for you in the present. Fortunately, there are many other treatments to try. There are a few different topical chemicals, different freezing techniques, etc. Just keep trying.
