Next: If bowel stable off imodium, (loperamide) slowly advance diet : canned fruit juices, dry cereal, potatoes, oatmeal, plain noodles & then on to simple proteins such as eggs, low fat yogurt, steamed or baked chicken without the skin or fat. Avoid fatty foods, those w/ artificial sweeteners can have laxative effect, high fiber vegetables: onions, cauliflower, lettuce, etc & some dairy: ice cream, butter, milk.
