Malabsorption: There are many other possible causes for B12 deficiency besides autoimmunity: any cause of malabsorption anywhere in the digestive tract from the stomach to the large intestine can eventually cause B12 deficiency. If you are proven deficient, get regular B12 injections.

Not likely....: Once you have antibodies they tend to stick around. However, i wonder if the two tests were the same and more importantly, the test for anti intrinsic factor ab is only about 60% sensitive. Either or both tests could be falsely negative. You could still be B12 deficient.
