Very Negative: Insulin causes the ovary to produce extra male hormone such as testosterone but others are produced. Male hormone is detrimental to the follicle and developing egg. It may or may not completely prevent ovulation but the egg is definitely poorly developed if ovulation occurs. This underlying physiology is a large part of the fertility issue seen in pcos. Seek fertility care if u have higho insulin.
