A kidney stone is a solid mass made up of tiny crystals. The most common kind of stones are calcium stones that mainly form in men aged 20-30 years old. There are also Cystine stones that can form in people who have cystinuria. In addition, there are also Struvite stones that are found mostly in women who have UTIs.

Passing Stones are 3-4 mm, smooth or jagged, amber, yellow or Brown in color, firm to hard, partially or full opaque depending on type of stone. Best is to strain urine and take any solid to the pathology for identification. Hope it helps.
