It depends...: This could be a sign of pneumonia, though there can be a viral pneumonia with flu that does not require additional treatment. If you feel short of breath and/or are coughing up lots of phlegm you could have a secondary bacterial pneumonia & would benefit from antibiotic treatment. See a doctor if this is the case.
