Colonoscopy pain: Colonoscopy is kind of a miserable procedure to go through. You drink all of this nasty stuff to make you have diarrhea all day to prepare for it. Then they insert a large tube into your rectum which constantly bumps up and down against your anus. The result of all of this is a lot of inflammation, swelling, and local tenderness. This is worst at the rectum. The good news-it will go away in a few.

Chronic (2 yrs) lower left abdominal tenderness between bottom of belly button and hip bone. Hurts to press & tense. Calprotectin consistently over 2000 but no diarrhea. Clear colonoscopy & small bowel MRI last month. Clear ultrasound. Any ideas pls?
Had endo and colonoscopy on the 9th July. Had to be rushed to ER Dept on the 10 &11 coz of excruciating abd pains, vag & rect bleeding. Most resolved except muscle pains on either side of pelvic bone. Please Drs advise me what I should do? Thank u?
