What cause nodules on thumbs?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Couple of things: Somewhat common is a ganglion cyst (small collection of concentrated joint fluid). Gouty tophus, or maybe a bone/cartilage cyst, or bone spur can form "nodules" on the thumb area. If it is bothersome to you, i suggest getting evaluated. Good luck.
