Medical workup: These sensations appear to be muscular in origin and can be seen in a variety of conditions e.g. Chiari malformation, dermatomyositis, tension myositis, psycho-social stress, depression, suppressed anger, post traumatic stress disorder, spinal deformity, spinal cord tumors, the list goes on. If symptoms persist see your primary care physician for a medical workup.
