Yes: They can block drainage and induce chronic infection, which can then bring about other pathology. See your doctor; you may need to see an ENT for surgical correction of this problem.

Perhaps but: If these were diagnosed on a ct scan, i would wager that the findings may actually be more consistent with mucus retention cyst or mucosal thickening rather than polyp. See an ENT who can perform an endoscopic evaluation in the office for appropriate diagnosis and treatment. Polyps may cause increased nasal discharge.
