Common : Irregular bleeding is common when young teenagers first start having periods. Over time it usually corrects itself. In the situation you describe it's probably best to schedule a visit though and discuss menstrual cycle control options. There are many including nonhormonal options like lysteda. This could improve her lifestyle.
