Canker sore?: Most likely a canker sore (recurrent aphthous ulcer). They can be very painful. They can be small or large and can clump together. They will all heal on their own if tissues aren't injured, so numbing agents can be harmful. Treatment can be with lasers, topical medication by your dentist. Anti-inflammatory meds can comfort. Bad ones may be eased with rx prednisone. See your dentist for diagnosis.
