Urine culture: See a physician or clinic who can send a urine culture and prescribe antibiotics if indicated.

Urinalysis in office: Your doctor can often do a quick in office urinalysis to see if infection is likely. Then antibiotics can be started the same day. In most healthy patients a culture is optional unless they don't respond or have evidence of a kidney infection.
