Unknown: This could be bleeding from an embryo that is not doing well and you are losing the embryo. More likely though that this is implantation bleeding, or cervical bleeding. We see bleeding in over 60% of patients who go on to have a normal pregnancy. It is very hard but it is a waiting game to see what's going on with the pregnancy. You can test in 2-4 days depending on your clinics recommendation.

Always a possibility: Honestly, by day 12 after et, you should have already done a pregnancy test and know whether ivf was successful or not. If the test was positive, that is a good sign and sometimes the bleeding is do to losing a twin or a tear in a small cervical or uterine vessel. Unfortunately, these are less likely and ivf probably did not work. The pg test is the key. Good luck and i hope this helps.
