A member asked:

I feed my 4 month old baby near 10 to 12 times a day. he always hungry. may i give any solid food to him?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Define hungry: You don't need permission to feed your baby.We don't recommend solids before 6m but this varies with the doc. If your kid consumes > 32 oz formula/day, solids may be needed. Some misread a kids finger or pacifier use as indication of hunger, it is not. The pleasure of chewing, sucking, nail biting, etc. Is a self soothing skill. If your kid is fluffy you may want to slow the feeds.
