Related symptoms.: Rosacea typically causes a red rash to your nose, cheeks, chin and forehead. It can have a bumpy acne like appearance. Lupus rash is more typically described as a "butterfly" red area spanning over your malar areas and nose. Lupus has several other symptoms such as oral ulcers, joint pain, kidney disease, pleurisy, and pericarditis. Blood tests can also help confirm the diagnosis.
