Prolactin + TSH: Thyroid dysfunction can disrupt the production of prolactin and elevated prolactin can disrupt appropriate tsh. It is possible achieving normal prolactin levels will return the thyroid to a more physiologic level. It will take at least 3-6 weeks to notice a difference. Keep expectations low, the change is subtle.

Maybe: Usually, if someone has ^ prolactin and an underactive thyroid, it's because the low thyroid levels increase a brain hormone, trh, that acts on the pituitary to raise TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) and prolactin. Almost always, treatment w/ thyroid hormone will correct both problems. Very rarely, someone could have a large pituitary tumor making prolactin & suppressing TSH Cabergoline can help.
