Cabergoline : This is a drug used for treatment of parkinson's diseade and is also used to decrease prolactin levels in people with pituitary problems. I am not aware of any effect it has on thyroid function. Hypothyroidism is usually treated with replacement of thyroid hormone either natural or synthetic.

Unlikely: Actually, the key here is making sure that your hypothyroidism is adequately treated. Untreated or incompletely treated hypothyroidism can cause elevated prolactin levels that will become normal once hypothyroidism is treated. You may not need to take the Cabergoline at all! talk to your doctor about this.
