A member asked:

Can you get hiv from unprotected oral sex?

Rare but possible: Oral sex is less risky than unprotected vaginal or anal sex, but it still holds some risk. Especially if there are mouth ulcers or bleeding gums. Using condoms helps decrease this risk even more. Each person needs to decide their own risk tolerance with their partner.

That is possible.: Hiv may be transmitted if infected fluids (semen, vaginal secretions, blood) come in contact w inflamed tissue/ sore/ulceration in throat or mouth.
