A member asked:

Can xanax (alprazolam) cause liver problems?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely. : But not impossible. Still, xanax (alprazolam) is much easier on the liver than alcohol is. Alcohol and xanax (alprazolam) share some similarities in their effects (disinhibition, anxiety reduction, withdrawal symptoms) but liver toxicity is not usually one of the similarities.
