A member asked:

Can h. pylori recur after treatment?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe...: Reinfection with h. Pylori in an adult is unlikely based on what is understood about its transmission. Recrudescence of the infection may occur if the antibiotics did not completely eradicate the bacteria. The antibiotic regimens have a reported 80 - 90% eradication rate.
