Can a kidney stone with stent and lithotripsy (2months later) cause 4th stage kidney disease?

Dr. Jack Rubin
Nephrology and Dialysis 50 years experience
Kidney disease: You need to see the urologist who placed the stent to get further information as soon as possible. If your kidney function was normal before the procedure, you have acute kidney disease which needs to be evaluated. If the urologist finds nothing wrong, go to a nephrologist to see if you have some kidney disease not related to your kidney stone or stent placement. See these doctors quickly.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
