Not typically: There is nothing inherent to this procedure which would lower a persons threshold for seizure. Individuals at risk for seizure should know that these procedures often require anesthesia and the use of those medications may change the effectiveness of anti-seizure medications. This can be discussed with the anesthesia team prior to scheduling a procedure.
