I was told i would not need digestive enzymes/bile salts after gallbladder removal...why then do naturopaths promote taking them? what is best?

Training: You do not need them. Naturopaths are trained differently and so are thought the you do, though there is no scientific evidence to back that. The gallbadder is like a reservoir only. It only is a storage site. The salts , etc, are still produced and released whether there or not.

Not useful: Naturopaths have been taught a list of presumably effective treatments for a variety of conditions - almost none of which work. They have a check list for gallbladder disease and prescribe the same things whether or not you have had surgery. So they will promote this ineffective product because their remedies have never been subjected to clinical testing.
