No ovulation: Ovulation is essential for maintaining a normal cycle. Ovulation typically occurs around d14; without conception, a period comes roughly 14 days later (d28). If you do not ovulate for one of several reasons, your period is delayed. With a negative pregnancy test, you most likely did not ovulate this past month or two.
