Which bones help make the platelets?

The big bones.: Platelets are manufactured in the same bones that produce red and white cells. The larger bones in your body are responsible for that - hip / upper leg / sternum.

Bone Marrow: The platelets are made in the marrow. In infants and young children, the long bones (arms and thighs), are big marrow producers. In adults, most of the active marrow is found in the pelvis and sternum.
