Should be evaluated: Unless you are aware of direct trauma which caused the bump and resultant pain, this should be evaluated. If the bump is enlarging, the pain is increasing , or if there are any other neurological symptoms such as numbness, tingling or associated visual changes or nausea then this needs more emergent evaluation.

Possibly: If you have an indwelling cerebrospinal fluid vp shunt or any device designed to allow spinal fluid to be obtained or to inject material into the ventricles and are having the symptoms you describe, then you should see the neurosurgeon who placed it asap. Do not wait.
