Yes: In any season we have at least 4-6 strains of flu circling the globe & air travel mixes/spreads it quickly. Flu virus mutates rapidly & the vaccine has the most recent & frequent strains but can't have them all. You could have a mutated strain or one not in the vaccine. You could also have something else. The flu shot is not perfect but it is the best we have. I get mine every year (X40+).
