Allergy?: Try over the counter loratadine/ claritin. You may have chronic allergic rhinitis. I don't think your sleeping hours has something to do with your symptoms. If it's persistent, go see your dr for allergy testing and possible use of intranasal steroids. Take care!

Multiple causes: This is also called rhinorrhea. There are many causes, such as exposure to cold temperatures, infection, allergies, head trauma, lacrimation, genetic disorders, etc. Go to see an ENT specialist to sort it out... If it really bothers you!
