I am a 51yr old male. in my blood test , i found my esr value 16mm/hr.i have severe joint pain also.what does this indicate?

Hard to say: A sed rate is an indication of systemic inflammation. Whether a sed rate of 16 is abnormal is based upon the normal rnage, which can vary by the lab that did the test. Assuming a normal range up to 10 , a 16 is only a minimal elevation and is not terribly significant.
