Gallstones: Just because you have a gallstone it does not mean it is the cause of the pain. A ultrasound or hida scan may be helpful to see if the gallbladder is inflamed or if the stone is causing problems. A sonographic murphy sign ( pain during ultrasound of the gallbladder) is a very helpful sign. Correlation with liver fungallstone attacks are more frequent just after eating and when eating fatty foods.
