Needs a nutritionist: Correct diet needs to be balanced and depends upon hight & weight. Whilst awaiting nurtionist can start by cutting out all juices & sodas, these are empty calories. Drink to glasses of water before every meal (helps to fill stomach with 0 calories. Modest portions, no seonds, and confine snacks to carrots, celery or raw vegetables plus start getting regular daily exercise.

No: It is never advisable to place a child on a food restricting diet of any type unless the child has a medical condition which demands it ( i.e. Gluten-sensitive enteropathy, diabetes mellitus, etc.). Adolescents in particular are at high risk for developing eating disorders as they rely on peer acceptance for validation. Body image critical to adolescents who are navigating new waters.
