Not necessarily: Every girl goes through puberty at a different rate- so some girls will get it early, some on time and some late. But it is important to see a doctor and to have some blood tests so that they can figure out why it has taken you so long to get your period. Then maybe something can be done about bringing your period on.

Worry milestones: This is certainly a difficult time for teens & each will hit their milestones when their body (genetics) decides it's time.If you have not seen nipple enlargement by 13 or your first menses by 15, you need to see your doc and be evaluated for delay. Most girls will cycle by 3 years after nipples enlarge.
