A member asked:

Would it be considered a hernia if i've had lower right abdomen pain for 4 months that is getting worse with sitting or lifting? if so what do i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

NOT NECESSARILY: A hernia, by definition, is a hole in the musculature, such as in your navel or groin, or in an old incision. You may just have a strain or pulled muscle. A good physical exam can delineate exactly what is going on, so get yourself to your doctor/surgeon. Good luck.
