Deep breathing: First please tell your gynecologist about this before the day of your visit. Second - consider deep breathing exercises. Inhale deeply through nose, hold in lungs for five count, and then slowly exhale through an open mouth. Repeat x 12. Some women may need an anxiolytic medication prior a pelvic examination if they spasm too much. Take care.
